So, I thought it would be a good idea to make a list of dates that engine houses were built, significant changes to a mine, and other interesting bits and pieces that happened over the years. I’m not entirely sure what I’ll include so far, but I’ll add more dates every time I complete a mining entry on the blog. We’ll see how this goes!
If I find a engine house record that goes something like “had a such and such engine by this date” with no definitive build date I’ll stick a ‘?’ in front of the date, and I’ll do the same if it’s the first time the engine is mentioned in text, like a sale date.
